The Timber Technological Innovation and Services Centre (CIS-Madera, Centro de Innovación y Servicios Tecnológicos de la Madera) is a public organisation at the service of the Galician timber industry, which, through its technological activities, aims to promote a transformation in the sector, helping to improve the competitive position of the companies and making greater use of the forest resources and the best use and quality of its products.
It is a non-profit institution which belongs to the Regional Ministry of Economy and Industry (Consellería de Economía e Industria, Xunta de Galicia), taking part of the Foundation for the Promotion of Industrial Quality and Technological Development of Galicia (Fundación para o Fomento da Calidade Industrial e o Desenvolvemento Tecnolóxico de Galicia).
